PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having a timer function slowly changing the brightness of a screen and a sound volume in the case of timer setting, and capable of conducting control so as to suppress even noise (such as the rotating sound of a motor fan, a relay sound in the case of power-off or the like) outputted from the display device itself. SOLUTION: The brightness of the screen, the sound volume (a tone quality), and the number of revolution of the motor fan are changed by stages in response to a timer after the timer setting. The screen is most darkened, a state that a sound is not mostly outputted is generated, and the setting is conducted so as not to interrupt a user by noise generated from the display device itself at an unnecessary time. Consequently, the various settings of the screen of the display device, the sound, the motor fan or the like can be set so as to be automatically changed with time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
