PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and a control system capable of connecting a plurality of controlled devices controlled by different systems, without making mistake. SOLUTION: A control device 1 is connected to a controlled device 2 via a connection cable 3, and outputs a control signal to the controlled device 2 through the connection cable 3 to control the controlled device 2. The control device 1 comprises a first connection terminal 4 for connecting the connection cable 3, a resistance R1, a discriminator 5, a discrimination program, and a change program. The resistance R1 is connected to a resistance R2 arranged at the controlled device 2, by connecting the connection cable 3 to the first connection terminal 4. The discriminator 5 measures an intermediate potential (V<SB>D</SB>) between the resistance R1 and the resistance R2. The discrimination program directs a CPU to discriminate a type of the controlled device 2 based on the value of the intermediate potential (V<SB>D</SB>).
