PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently exhausting heat generated from a plasma display device and effectively utilizing the exhausted heat. SOLUTION: When an opening/closing door 43 formed on a back cabinet 40 is closed and a shutter 78 is erected vertically to close a back surface exhausting port 76; air sucked by an air intake fan 75 from an air inlet port 74 flows downward and is collected in an air collecting duct 72, and exhausted from a lower air exhausting port 77 opened for the front through the air exhausting duct 73. When the opening/closing door 43 formed on the back cabinet 40 is opened, and the shutter 78 is pushed down; air sucked by the air inlet fan 75 from the air inlet port 74 is blown without any change to the outside from the back surface exhausting port 76.
