PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an inner piece capable of easily increasing silencing effect by only attaching the same to a communication pipe provided inside of a silencer, and a silencer using the same. SOLUTION: In the silencer 1 using the inner piece 2, the inner piece 2 is provided in a downstream side of an exhaust gas inlet of a communication pipe 15 in a device provided with a casing part 10 connecting to an exhaust pipe 3, a silencing chamber 12 provided in the casing 10, and the communication pipe 15 establishing communication between the silencing chambers 12 or between the silencing chamber 12 and an outside, and reducing sound level of exhaust gas by making exhaust gas pass through the inside of the silencing chamber 12 from an inlet side communication pipe 15A toward an outlet side communication pipe 15B. The inner piece includes a tubular part 20 getting narrower toward an exhaust side upstream side, and the tubular part 20 is provided with a plurality of air holes 21 on an circumference surface thereof.
