The invention refers to agriculture, namely to a method of determining the genetic purity of the sunflower inbred lines. The proposed method of determining the genetic purity of the sunflower inbred lines includes homogenization, degreasing and centrifugation of the sunflower seed samples, isolation of helianthinine by sample washing with buffer solution with pH 5,0, then with 32à38% (NH4)2SO4 solution, with 1M NaCl solution, with 50% trichloroacetic acid solution, with acetone and ether, centrifugation and drying of the isolated helianthinine. Then it is carried out the electrophoresis of helianthinine in 14% polyacrylamide gel, it is carried out the comparative analysis of the obtained electrophoretic spectra, afterwards it is calculated the genetic parity of the sunflower inbred lines according to the formula, %:whereP û the genetic purity of the sunflower inbred lines;S û the number of electrophoretic spectra similar to the standard spectrum;N û the number of analysed seeds.
