<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicular fitting female terminal capable of raising the probability of fitting to a plug in spite of spatial restraints, having high strength against prying force irrespective of fitting-up direction, effectively prevented from being deformed so as to secure stable fitting to the plug over a long period, and capable of achieving a reduction in overall length including the plug when fitted thereto. <P>SOLUTION: The perpendicular fitting female terminal 100 comprises: a tubular body 110 extending in a depth direction and having two first walls 111, 112 oriented to the height direction and opposed to each other and two second walls 113, 114 oriented to the width direction and opposed to each other; and a connecting part 120 that is aligned with the body 110 in the depth direction and formed integrally with the body 110, and that is configured to allow connection of an electric wire or another conductor thereto. Receiving holes 115, 116 are provided to penetrate the two second walls 113, 114, respectively, and a plate spring 117 to be elastically deformed in the height direction is provided inside the body 110.
