PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design inspection program capable of automatically deciding whether a created design conforms to a prescribed design rule or not. SOLUTION: By comparing inspection target design data wherein the design of an inspection target is described by a program language such as HTML with a design program rule prescribing the prescribed design rule by the same program language as the inspection target design data, it is decided whether the design of the inspection target is a design according to the prescribed design rule or not. Thus, by describing the design of the inspection target by the program language and also prescribing the design rule by the same program language, it can be automatically decided whether the created design conforms to the prescribed design rule or not.
