PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a generation method, capable of easily supporting component data configuration disposal when designing a new product by diverting a component used in an existing product. SOLUTION: An arithmetic processor 3 of this three-dimensional CAD component data configuration generation device has a three-dimensional CAD system 4 and a component data configuration editing means 7. The component data configuration editing means 7 is provided with: a component data configuration editing instruction part 7A editing-instructing a configuration of component data diverting from three-dimensional CAD data of the existing product of a storage means 6, and taking in and processing component data configuration editing instruction information; a data configuration information extraction part 7B taking in configuration information of three-dimensional component data of the new product from the component data configuration editing instruction information and the three-dimensional CAD data and processing it; and a component data configuration disposal processing part 7C performing configuration disposal processing of three-dimensional CAD component data of the new product from the configuration information of the three-dimensional component data and the three-dimensional CAD data.
