PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exchange an elastic member for load reduction mounted between a fixed part and a movable part in a focusing mechanism. SOLUTION: The focusing mechanism 5 comprises a gas spring 11 for reducing load applied on the fixed part 5a from the movable part 5b in which an upper end 11b and a lower end 11a are detachably mounted on the movable part 5b and the fixed part 5a respectively, a temporarily fixed part 13ba arranged between the upper end 11b and the movable part 5b fixed temporarily on the upper face of the movable part 5b, a fixed part 13bb bolt-tightened on the upper face of the movable part 5b, a support part 13a for supporting the upper end 11b, and an upper adapter 13 fixed on the movable part 5b and rotates around the temporarily fixed part 13ba fixed temporarily when the fixed part 13bb is bolt-tightened, and compressing the gas spring 11 supported on the support part 13a in response to a bolt-tightening quantity of the fixed part 13bb.
