PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid volume measuring apparatus for conveniently and accurately measuring a liquid volume of a droplet formed from a discharged liquid. SOLUTION: The liquid volume measuring apparatus is provided with a receiving section for receiving the liquid discharged for a predetermined period and holding the liquid as the droplet, an illuminating section for illuminating the droplet with a light, an observing section for observing an extent of a reflection light reflected from a surface of the droplet and an extent of a bottom face of the droplet, and a liquid volume identifying section for deriving the liquid volume of the droplet based on the observed extents of the reflection light and the bottom face of the droplet.
