PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle for continuous casting, which fully exerts the performance of a hard-to-adhere refractory arranged in the inner periphery of the immersion nozzle so that the deposition of precipitates does not occur even at the front ends of discharge holes and a slit. SOLUTION: In the immersion nozzle for continuous casting, a magnesia-lime based refractory 22 of a cylindrical inner periphery is integrally formed with a zirconia-lime-graphite or zirconia-graphite refractory 24 of a cylindrical outer periphery. The cylindrical inner periphery is formed of the magnesia-lime based refractory 22, including front ends 9 of discharge-holes and a slit. The cylindrical outer periphery is formed of the zirconia-lime-graphite or zirconia-graphite refractory 24. The inner surfaces of discharge holes 2 and a slit 3 are covered with the magnesia-lime based refractory, including the front ends 9, so that the deposition of precipitates is prevented.
