PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having leg region forming members cut at the leg parts of elastic members and enables the free designation of the leg parts of the elastic members and the stretching rate in such a manner that suitable tightening force is obtained around the legs. SOLUTION: In an absorbent article having leg region forming members 71, 71 arranged in an elongated state at a pair of leg regions 70, 70 arranged around a wearer's leg, the leg region elastic members comprises a first and a second elastic member 71a, 71b having crossing parts 71a" and 71b" arranged to cross the absorber 4 , and the first and second elastic members do not exhibit elastic expansible/contractible property at least at an area of the portion where the absorbent core exists, and the predetermined parts of the first and second elastic members with parts which does not exhibit elastic expansible/contractible property are fixed to the component of the absorbent article by a second fixing means S, S.
