PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weighted fire extinguishing apparatus which uses compressed air to discharge a fire extinguisher stored in a container to extinguish fire. SOLUTION: The fire extinguishing apparatus 1 is a transportable one and comprises a compressed fluid container 2 for storing compressed air, fire extinguisher containers 3 and 4, a compressed fluid guiding pipe 5, which is connected to the compressed fluid container 2 and the fire extinguisher containers 3 and 4, for guiding the compressed air stored in the compressed fluid container 2 into the fire extinguisher containers 3 and 4, a pressure reducing valve 6, which is intermediated in the compressed fluid guiding pipe 5, for reducing the pressure of compressed air flowing down the compressed fluid guiding pipe 5, a discharging means 7 for discharging the fire extinguisher stored in the fire extinguisher containers 3 and 4, and a fire extinguisher guiding pipe 8, which is connected to the fire extinguisher containers 3 and 4 and the discharging means 7, for guiding the fire extinguisher stored in the fire extinguisher containers 3 and 4 into the discharging means 7.
