PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the commercial value of an overturning prevention device by using the overturning prevention device for preventing the overturning of furniture as a hanger of an article. SOLUTION: This overturning prevention device is provided with a laterally long guide rail 5 attached to the upper part of a wall face 4, casings 8 attached to the guide rail 5 movably along the guide rail 5, cord bodies 9 stored in the casing 8 and freely wound around and pulled out from the casing with its length adjustably, and attachment members 11 attached to the tip parts of the cord bodies 9. The attachment member 11 adapted is provided with a first attachment part 21 used for attaching an overturning prevention object and a second attachment part 22 used for hanging the hanging object.
