PURPOSE:To attain prints with different dot densities by a few recording heads by moving/scanning a single or plural recording head elements over the entire recording width of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:In the process forming a magnetic latent image on a magnetic drum 1, a magnetic recording head 2a moves on a slider shaft 9 in the recording width direction of a magnetic drum 1. One magnetic recording head 2a is moved over the entire width by a scanning wire 11 so as to be moved to a dot be recorded with dot density, e.g., 240 dots/1'' and the magnetic latent image is formed sequentially by a head drive circuit 14. The magnetic recording head 2a is driven by a drive circuit 14 via a connector 13 and a cable 12. Thus, one magnetic recording head is moved so as to be utilized in place of plural magnetic recording head arrays. |
