The invention concerns a method (1) for qualifying identifiable mobile terminals, whereof the identity includes one type. Said terminals are connected to an access network via at least one transmission link. The method includes the following steps: for a given type of communication: associating (2) a power level emitted (Pe) by the network addressed to a mobile terminal with the type of terminal until at least two lists (L₁, L₂) of power levels associated each with a different type of terminal is obtained, comparing (3) the at least two lists (L₁, L₂) to determine a classification of the types of terminals associated with the compared lists.
