Hochviskose Sulfonsäuregruppen enthaltende Kondensationsprodukte auf Basis von Amino-s-triazinen

Highly viscous condensation prods. (I) contg. SO3H gps. are based on amino-s-triazine (II) with at least 2 amino gps. and HCHO. 20 wt.% aq. soln. of (I) has a viscosity of 500-100000 cP at 20 degrees C and pH 8.0-13.0. (I) are obtd. by: (1) condensation of (II), HCHO and sulphite in 1:(1.9-2.9):(0.7-1.3) molar ratio in aq. soln. at pH 9.0-12.0 and 50-90 degrees C until the sulphite can no longer be detected; followed by (2) further condensation at pH 2.0-5.0 and 50-100 degrees C until the required viscosity is attained. Also claimed is the use of (I) for stabilising aq. suspensions, esp. inorganic binder suspensions.
