The method involves providing laminar units (1) with holes (3) and providing the laminar units with graphical representations (4) e.g. signs and/or images, by variation of diameter and depth of the holes. The holes are inserted in plates (2) by a pressing-or perforating device, where the units are manufactured from plastic and glass. The graphical representations are stored in a software of the pressing-or perforating device. Shades and colors of the graphical representations are transformed in the holes by the software. An independent claim is also included for laminar units with holes.
