<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform editing work of a characteristic point extracted from a video obtained by photographing a moving photographic subject. <P>SOLUTION: This animation creation system 1 is a system for extracting the movement of the photographic subject from the video obtained by photographing the moving photographic subject by the characteristic point, and creating an animation by use of the extracted characteristic point. The animation creation system 1 includes a video input part 3, a characteristic point extraction part 5, a characteristic point storage part 7, a video composition part 9, a characteristic point editing part 11, a motion data creation part 13, an animation creation part 15, and an output part 17. The characteristic point editing part 11 edits the characteristic point by use of a function showing a position of the characteristic point correspondingly to a temporal lapse of the previously produced video.
