<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology whereby contents congenial to a user can focus user's attention than other contents when the user views and listens to a plurality of contents. <P>SOLUTION: A signal analysis section 52 acquires status information indicating a user's preference status applied to contents being display objects of its own television receiver on the basis of user commands from a remote controller and image data and audio data of contents from a tuner 51, and outputs the status information to another television receiver via a data analysis section 53 and a data communication section 61. When the data analysis section 53 analyzes the status information of its own display apparatus and another display apparatus and discriminates that its own television receiver is a master television receiver, the data analysis section 53 controls processing of a signal processing section 55, generates a command for controlling the processing of the other display apparatus, and transmits the command to the other television receiver via a command transmission section 62.
