<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain air bag device not for making an air bag ride up or breaking it at a hanging part at the time of actuating an inflator even if the air bag is installed in a state of being projected in a compartment. <P>SOLUTION: This curtain air bag device 11 is provided with an inflator 12, and an air bag 13 comprising a plurality of chambers 13 mounted along a roof side rail 4, supplying high-pressure gas emitted from the inflator 12 via a duct 13d, and expanded and deployed between the head of an occupant and the inner side of the compartment.
