PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the trouble associated with the case when an unscheduled drive signal is selected wrong. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector has (A) an element which performs the ejection action for making a liquid ejected, and (B) a drive signal generating part which generates a drive signal with a driving pulse formed in a certain period of time for making the element perform the ejection action, and another drive signal with both another driving pulse formed in the other period of time for making the element perform the ejection action, and a dummy pulse formed in the certain period of time for making the element perform the ejection action when the dummy pulse is selected wrong in place of the driving pulse.
