PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine capable of surely holding a commodity while preventing damage to the commodity. SOLUTION: The vending machine comprises at least a lateral pair of finger units 221 for pinching a commodity A in between and a holding mechanism 220 for opening and closing the finger units 221 by rotating force of a holding motor 226a. The holding force exerted when pinching the commodity A by the finger units 221 can be adjusted by the holding motor 226a, so that the commodity A can be surely held while preventing damage to the commodity A held.
