PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-emission type display device capable of achieving multi-gradation control, facilitating control of gradations and stably adjusting luminance. SOLUTION: The self-emission type display device includes a plurality of scanning electrodes 105, a plurality of data electrodes 106 intersecting with the scanning electrodes 105, and light emitting layers 104 arranged between the scanning electrodes 105 and the data electrodes 106. A plurality of pixels respectively having the light emitting layers 104 arranged in the positions where the scanning electrodes 105 and the data electrodes 106 intersect are displayed and driven by the voltage between the scanning electrodes 105 and the data electrodes 106. The data voltage supplied to the data electrodes 106 is a pulse waveform of a square shape and the scanning voltage supplied to the scanning electrodes 105 has a ramp waveform increased in the absolute value of the voltage value together with the time.
