PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle-reinforced aluminum alloy composite which has improved strength, abrasion resistance and high-temperature characteristics by being reinforced by reinforcing particles with particle diameters of a micrometric order or a nanometric order, and can be applied to an automobile industry and the like as a high-strength lightweight material, and to provide a production method therefor. SOLUTION: The particle-reinforced aluminum alloy composite having the reinforced particles dispersed in an aluminum alloy matrix is produced by dispersing the particles of aluminum oxide and independent particles of aluminum-magnesium spinel, which are separated from the particles of aluminum oxide as the reinforced particles, in the aluminum alloy matrix.
