PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy process for purifying recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA) obtained by gene manipulation, to obtain the high-purity rHSA from which a coloring component is fully removed in high yield in a short time. SOLUTION: The process for purifying the rHSA includes heating a culture solution containing a rHSA-producing host while containing a host bacteria, feeding the heated solution upwardly into a fluidized bed in which adsorbent particles are suspended to be brought into contact with the adsorbent particles and then recovering the adsorbed fraction containing the rHSA by a descending method.
