In the lowered position, the bath tub (1) has a seat (21) inserted over it. The tub is rotatably located by means of bearing parts (6,6A) fitted under its long sides with shafts (7) outside which links (8,8A) are fitted at one end. At their other end, the links are fitted on shafts (9,9A) connected to a frame (10,10A) borne by a lower frame (11) with floor supports (12,12A). A hydraulic cylinder (19) is connected articulately via its connecting rod (18) to the upper rear edge (17) of the bath tub, and at the bottom to a shaft (20) fitted between the floor support (12A) on the under frame (11), on opposite sides of the tub. The tub is lifted by a line or similar connected to an auxiliary power source arranged in a fixed frame. The line movement corresponds to that of the links (8,8A) when the tub is raised, the lifting force being constant at the different height positions of the tub. |
