PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous input/output processings by adding the classification of an input/output card and information of the number of constituting words to this input/output card. CONSTITUTION:This controller device consists of a programming device 1, a CPU 2, an information memory 3, a data memory 4, a buffer 5, input/output cards 6-1-6-N, an address adding circuit 9, etc. Each of input/output cards 6-1-6-N is provided with an information circuit 11 where the classification of the card and the number of constituting words are stored, and these input/ output information are read out optionally through a bus 10, the address adding circuit 9, and the buffer 5 by the CPU 2 and the stored in the information memory 3. The address adding circuit 9 generates addresses fixed to numbers of constituting words of individual cards successively from the first input/output card. Thus, the physical address of each input/output and input/output information are determined automatically.
