The sensor has a laser (101) and detectors (109) that are arranged with their overall electronics, when an axle is rotated with a reflector (103). The reflector permits application specific displacement of optical axes between a transmitter and a receiver. A reflection reference unit is provided to represent all input powers of the receiver as a reference by controlling the sensor in a corresponding angle position. A scanning arrangement is provided for scanning objects with two different wavelengths and radiation geometries.
