PURPOSE:To realize such as effective attack course as an overhead attack or the like when a target is approaching by constituting a guiding apparatus such that a distance to the target is calculated from the apparent size and the speed of the target. CONSTITUTION:Binary-coded video data 8 are inputted to a target value width measuring circuit 14 and a measured result is inputted to a microprocessor 20 as target width data 15. On the other hand, an airframe speed detector 16 detects the speed V of an airframe and resulted data are inputted to the microprocessor 20 as airframe speed data 17. The microprocessor 20 calculates a target distance using the horizontal direction angle width of the target inputted from a target width data hold circuit 21, the internally calculated mean value of the airframe speed and the like. The ranged values thus obtained are inputted to a steering apparatus 13 as ranged data 23 together with guiding signals 10 and a steering into which distance information is incorporated is executed.
