<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter unit capable of achieving an excellent deodorizing effect while reducing the pressure loss of an exhaust channel for exhausting gas in an image forming apparatus even in a limited installation space, and the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The filter unit 99 is installed in the exhaust channel for exhausting the gas in the housing 11 of the image forming apparatus which forms an image on a recording medium by using toner, and used to eliminate the odor of the gas. It has a filter member 993 constituted by forming an aggregate principally composed of activated carbon fibers into sheet shape, and is constituted so that the filter member 993 may be arranged to separate front and rear in a gas circulating direction when it is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
