PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service providing server capable of easily providing a user with an online service accompanied with authentication with high security while the user even with a communication terminal having no authentication information uses another communication terminal at the same time, and an authentication system. SOLUTION: The authentication system is provided with the service providing server 100 for providing the service, a communication terminal 10 and a communication terminal 20, wherein the communication terminal 10 requests the service from the service providing server 100, transmits a session code inputted optionally by the user, the communication terminal 20 transmits the same session code inputted by the user to the service providing server 100, and the service providing server 100 collates the session codes from the communication terminal 10 and the communication terminal 20, and provides the user of the communication terminal 10 with the service when there is one combination between the communication terminal 10 and the communication terminal 20 whose session codes coincide with each other.
