PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the data size of image data indicating a plurality of images. SOLUTION: The image data of respective registration unit areas concerned with an overlap area of first and second images, respective registration unit areas concerned with the non-overlap area of the first image and respective registration unit areas concerned with the non-overlap area of the second image are generated. Further, first image access information for relating information for accessing the image data of respective registration unit areas of the overlap area and the non-overlap areas of the first image to the identification information of the first image is generated. Second image access information for relating information for accessing the image data of respective registration unit areas of the overlap area and the non-overlap area of the second image to the identification information of the second image is generated.
