GEAR ADDITIVE COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally stable lubricant composition having abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: The gear additive composition comprises a nitrogen-containing compound and a phosphorus-containing compound, and is regulated so that the ratio of the whole base number to the whole acid number in the gear additive composition may be≥0.94. The gear lubricant composition contains the gear additive composition, a reaction product of a sulfur-containing compound, a phosphorus-containing compound and a nitrogen-containing compound.
