PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for allowing a navigation system mounted on a vehicle, or the like to be connected to an information providing device, by utilizing the base station of short-range communication. SOLUTION: When a recommended path passes through a communication spot that is a communicatable region by the base station of short range communication, the navigation system moves to the communication spot for connecting to the information providing device via the base station; and when the recommended path does not pass through the communication spot, the navigation system connects to the information-providing device via a public network by a communication terminal.
