PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition for vibration-proof rubber, which comprises ethylene-α-olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber as a main component and has excellent durability at a high temperature, and vibration-proof rubber. SOLUTION: The vibration-proof rubber composition comprises at least (A) ethylene-α-olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber, (B) natural rubber, (C) an organic peroxide and (D) N,N'-bis[3-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionyl]hydrazine in the weight ratio of the component (A) to (B) of preferably 95/5-30/70 and does not contain a reinforcing filler. Theα-olefin is preferably, for example, propylene, 1-butene, 1-pentene, 1-hexene, 4-methyl-1-pentene, 1-octene, 1-decene, etc., especially preferably propylene and 1-butene.
