摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mold a glass article with the uniform wall thickness distribution while avoiding that the unjust deformation of a glass material arises on the preceding stage in which the negative pressure is made to act, when the objective shape is molded by making the negative pressure act in a state heating and softening the glass material such as a plate glass or the like. SOLUTION: A molding die 3 in which one or a plurality of molding concave portions 3a and a vent 3b communicating with the inside of the molding concave portions 3a are formed is arranged in an internal space 2a of a heating furnace 2. In a state in which a glass material G is put on the molding die 3 so as to cover the top of the molding concave portions 3a, the negative pressure is made to act on a molding space 3x surrounded with the molding concave portions 3a and the rear surface of the glass material G through the vent 3b, thereby when a glass article in which one or a plurality of concave portions are formed, a chamber 4 communicating with the vent 3b is mounted at the basilar part of the molding die 3, a part or all of the chamber 4 is located in the internal space 2a of the heating furnace 2, and the negative pressure is generated in an internal space 4a of the chamber 4.
