PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve precision of a folding position for a binding position. SOLUTION: An electromagnet 28 is provided at a position set in advance on the upstream side in the direction of paper conveyance of a middle-folding roller 25 in a middle-folding conveyance passage by opposing to a paper sheet conveyed in the middle-folding conveyance passage R6, and a binding needle (a staple needle) b for a bundle a of saddle-stitching paper sheets conveyed downward is magnetically attracted on the electromagnet 28 and stops. A separated conveyance roller 29 is pressurized in the direction of arrow mark d at the position where the electromagnet 28 attracts and the bundle a of saddle-stitching paper sheets stops, nips the bundle a of saddle-stitching paper sheets, and conveys it to the middle-folding position where a folding blade 24 is driven to perform middle-folding.
