The invention concerns a method for calibrating an ophthalmic lens bevelling device comprising a machining tool provided with a bevelling groove. The invention is characterized in that the method includes the following steps: positioning, in a measuring plane comprising the locking axis of the shafts locking the ophthalmic lens and the axis of rotation of the machining tool, the locking axis at a known distance for plotting a first mean gauging segment defined as being the segment parallel to the axis of rotation of the machining tool whereof the ends are two points each belonging to a lateral surface of the bevelling groove and which are separated by a distance corresponding to a first given characteristic supporting width; measuring in said configuration a first calibrating position of the locking axis relative to the axis of rotation of the machining tool; and deducing therefrom the calibration constant. |
