<p>The applicator finds application in physiotherapy for stimulation of specific reflex points of the human body, and it can be used both in medical institutions and at home. Its construction ensures stable fixation of the needles to the base they are attached to, eliminating the risk of getting of the needles deep into the patientÆs skin. The applicator comprises an elastic base member (1) and needles (2) fixed therein, each of the latter having a thickened portion (3) and a sharpened portion (4) at the opposite ends. The needles (2) are fixed within the base member (1) with their thickened portions (3), while 1/3 to 1/2 of the length of their sharpened portions protrude out of the base member. The base member (1) is solid in the direction of its thickness, and the thickened portions (3) of the needles (2) are strongly and inseparably fitted therein.</p> |
