PURPOSE:To provide a truck moving device in a crematory capable of being smoothly inserted or removed into a coffin sending chamber by suspending a chain fixed with engaging pawls for engaging or disengaging engaging members at positions opposing respective engaging members in front and rear parts of the crematory truck, and drive in a circulating manner the chain in a forward direction and a reverse direction by means of a motor provided on the front bottom surface of the coffin sending chamber. CONSTITUTION:At the time of cremation a motor 44 is started in the formed direction to circulate and drive a chain 43, and a crematory truck 4 on which a coffin 50 has been set, is inserted into a coffin sending chamber 5 from a hall 3 in front of the crematory together with a truck moving car 14 by engaging means of first and second engaging pawls 41 and 42 of the chain 43 and engaging members 37 and 38 in the front and rear of the truck 4. Thereafter, only the crematory truck 4 is inserted into a main combustion chamber 2 of the crematory 1 from the top of the truck moving car 14. After the completion of the crematory, the motor 44 is started in the reverse direction and the chain 43 is circulated and driven only the crematory truck 4 is drawn out from the combustion chamber of the main crematory 1 onto the truck moving car 14 in the coffin sending chamber. Then, the crematory truck 4 is cooled within the coffin sending chamber 6, and thereafter the crematory truck 4 is drawn out together with the truck moving car 14 from the coffin sending chamber to the side of the front hall 3.
