DISK HOLDING MECHANISM FOR DISK DRIVER

PURPOSE:To attain reduction of cost by designing the titled mechanism that a cone arm is lifted up or down at a position parted from a drive fulcrum of the cone arm even in the movement of a tray in the horizontal direction so as to reduce the number of components. CONSTITUTION:When the tray 33 is moved with a carrier 32, the cone arm 94 is lifted down one by one by a cone collar 91, the cone collar 91 is moved horizontally similarly based on the vertical movement and descended down completely. Then a cone disk 102 at the tip is pressed onto the disk 146 in the cartridge 130 to clip the disk 146 elastically by a prescribed force with a spindle cup 27 thereby driving the spindle motor. Then the read/write of an optical pickup to/from the said disk 146 is attained through a head window of the cartridge 130.
