PURPOSE:To form a coated film having excellent curability by UV rays by adding a chelating agent to the conventional photosetting type electrodeposition paint compsn. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. is formed by adding the chelating agent to the photosetting type electrodeposition paint compsn. essentially consisting of the water soluble or water dispersible polymerizable unsatd. resin having 20-300 (more preferably 40-110) acid value, 150-3,000 unsaturation equiv. and >=300 (more preferably 1,000-30,000) number average mol.wt. and non-water soluble photopolymn. initiator. beta-diketones (acetyl acetone, etc.), etc., are usable as the chelating agent. Above all, beta-diketones and acetoacetatic esters are adequate. The amt. of the chelating agent to be used is adequately in a 1-50pts.wt. range per 100pts.wt. resin component.
