<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a piezoelectric actuator at a low voltage, and prevent the drive characteristics from degrading. <P>SOLUTION: Drive circuits 20 (30) are provided with voltage-boosting inductors 21 (31), connected to a first piezoelectric element 10 (a second piezoelectric element 10') in series, an H-bridge for implementing a predetermined switching operation so as to drive the piezoelectric elements and the inductors, and closing means (capacitors 22 (32) connected to the piezoelectric elements in parallel), constituted so as to substantially close between terminals of the piezoelectric elements. If the piezoelectric element functions as a driven element, the drive circuits 20 (30) drive the piezoelectric element so as to substantially close between the terminals of the driven element (the second piezoelectric element 10') by the closing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
