<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic imaging apparatus capable of realizing low power consumption in a video camera using a solid-state imaging element high in the number of pixels. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of dividing the whole pixels of the solid-state imaging element into division areas, e.g. two division areas 1, 2, the division area 1 is read by every odd number V (1V, 3V, ..., ) (fields), the division area 2 is read by every odd number V, the reading is stopped at every even number V for the division area 2, and at every odd number V for the division area 1 resulting in that the average power consumption of drive sections of each division area is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
