<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately charge for the use of music information for use in an event mainly directed to providing music based on some music information, and charge for the event mainly directed to providing music based on the music information. <P>SOLUTION: Accompanying transmission of key file data to a host server secures appropriate charging. A client server may have a plurality of means for providing the function of restricting or refusing secondary use of music information to secure appropriate charging.
