PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which stable image density is obtained even under environmental variation and good resolution is also ensured, and the occurrence of banding adversely influential on an image caused by a contact portion of a toner supply roller and a toner carrier after being allowed to stand over a long period of time is suppressed. SOLUTION: A surface of the toner carrier has a contact angle to ethylene glycol of 60-90°and a contact angle to diiodomethane of 30-38°. The toner is a toner for nonmagnetic one-component contact development having toner particles containing at least a binder resin and a colorant, the toner has an average circularity of 0.940-0.995 and a charge amount per unit mass Q/M of -75 to -25 mC/kg, and in toner which is not over 10% number average particle diameter (D(10)), toner whose Q/M is -120 to 0 mC/kg occupies≥80% by number.
