PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence display which flattens a color filter reliably, while facilitating the attachment of an organic EL element. SOLUTION: One or more organic EL elements 40 are attached on a part of the top surface of a black matrix 33 for a color filter 30. A bottom electrode 41 on the organic EL element 40 clads a part of the top surface on a color filtering layer 35 and a metal planarization layer 39, and brings the corresponding metal planarization layer 39 into contact mutually, resulting in achievement of flatness of the color filter 30 and effective reduction in resistance of the bottom electrode 41.
