PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition which is used for metal laminate films, has proper polymerization activity on the production of the polyester, does not deteriorate the flavors of fillings, when used as a laminate film in metal cans for drinks or foods, and has good retort resistance and flavor characteristics. SOLUTION: This polyester resin composition comprising (A) polyethylene terephthalate or a polyester consisting mainly of the polyethylene terephthalate and (B) polybutylene terephthalate or a polyester consisting mainly of the polybutylene terephthalate is characterized by comprising the polyester (A) and the polyester (B) in a mass ratio of 30:70 to 70:30, containing 20 to 120 ppm of a magnesium compound coated with a titanium compound, and having intrinsic viscosity of 0.7 to 1.0.
