PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear vehicle-body structure for a vehicle that allows improvement in strength/rigidity of a wheel house while connecting a high-rigidity closed section shape of a side sill to the wheel house without dividing a reinforcing structure. SOLUTION: The side sill 6 is formed into a double closed section structure by forming a closed section shape part S with a side sill reinforcement 8 inside a side sill part being a coupling part with the wheel house 1 at least at the rear end of the side sill 6. An overlapped part 11 between a wheel house outer panel 2 and a wheel house inner panel 3 is arranged at a rear-end opening part of the closed section shape part S of the side sill reinforcement 8.
